The Indivior International Harm Reduction Film Festival 2015 is a highlight of the International Harm Reduction Festival and a favourite amongst conference delegates. Since 2010, the Festival has been concurrently run for the general public. The festival screens documentaries, advocacy films, training videos, and fictional work relevant to reducing drug and alcohol related harms. Films shown at the event have subsequently been used for advocacy purposes in many countries, and are both engaging and varied in content.
The response in previous years was an unprecedented number of submissions of high-calibre content from an assortment of harm reduction themes. Thirty-five dynamic films from diverse regions including Central and Eastern Europe, Oceania, Africa, Central Asia, the Middle East and Northern Europe were selected for screening.
Thought provoking and informative, the films to be screened at the Indivior International Harm Reduction Film Festival 2015 promise to evoke discussion and debate among viewers before, during and after the conference. Harm Reduction International and the Malaysian AIDS Council along with sponsors Indivior are thrilled to present a film festival of such quality and excellence to coincide with the IHRC 2015.
