The 2013 International Drugs and Harm Reduction Film Festival at the IHRC screens documentaries, advocacy films, training videos, and fictional work relevant to reducing drug and alcohol related harms. Films shown at the event have subsequently been used for advocacy purposes in many countries, and are both engaging and varied in content.
The response this year was an unprecedented amount of submissions of high-caliber content from an assortment of harm reduction themes. Thirty-five dynamic films from diverse regions including Central and Eastern Europe, Oceania, Africa, Central Asia, the Middle East and Northern Europe have been selected for screening. Thought provoking and informative, the films screened at the IHRA Film Festival promise to evoke discussion and debate among viewers before, during and after IHRC 2013. Harm Reduction International and the Eurasian Harm Reduction Network are thrilled to present a film festival of such quality and excellence to coincide with the IHRC 2013.
